K-9 Application Procedures and Forms

Kindergarten Registration Information

We have two kindergarten classes . Each kindergarten class has a maximum of 11 students as they are combined into a single class the following year. The kindergarten schedule follows:

~ Monday and Wednesday full days with alternating Fridays

~ Tuesday and Thursday full days with alternating Fridays.

Kindergarten Information Night - Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 (7:00 p.m.)

Application Submissions  - We will begin accepting applications on February 13, 2012.

Kindergarten Application Deadline - Monday April 2, 2012

Application processing by the admissions committee will begin on April 4, 2012.

Siblings of family members already enrolled in New Horizons AND  who meet the admissions criteria will receive priority.

 

Grade 1-6  Registration Information

Please refer to the class status to the right. If space is not available in the grade in which you are interested, please follow the steps in the Wait List Procedures.

If an opening for the 2011-2012 school year is available in the grade you are seeking, review the above application prcedures and submit an application package before September 26, 2011.

Grade 1-6  Information Night - Because of the wait list at the Grade 1-6 level, we do not have an information evening. If you are interested in our program and wish to visit the school, please contact us to arrange a time.

Junior High Registration Information.

Junior High Open House - TBA

Application Submissions  - We are still accepting appications for the 2011-2012 school year. Submit applications before September 26, 2011.

We will begin accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year on February 13, 2012.

Admissions Processing

  • Our Admissions Commitee will review applications upon arrival only if space is available in the grade being requested.
  • All other applications will be reviewed annually during the spring registration process beginning April 2, 2012.
  • Parents interested in applying to a class that is currently full should follow the procedures outlined in the Wait List Procedures outlined below.

Educational Psychologists

New Horizons School does not recommend any one particular psychologist for IQ testing. The yellow pages provide a large list. However, if you wish, you may contact the school and we will e-mail you a list of educational psychologists that NHS parents have used in the past.

 

Wait List

Several of our grades are filled. On occasion, openings do occur at various times of the year. If you are interested in putting your child's name on a wait list, please complete a Wait List Form and submit it to us.
