Welcome to Our Grade 2 Webpage!

     If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday with a treat, we have a class size of 21 students. Reminder: there are nut allergies in our class.

We have started our new units:

Social Studies – Looking at People

The students are involved in a group project designing a "mini museum"  which represents Ukrainian, Inuit and Acadian culture.

Science – Magnetism

Students are inventing a new game that will incorporate the concepts from their magnetism unit. 

Show What You Know is scheduled for February 15.  They will have their science notes to take home for review on Monday February 13.

Math – Numbers to 100    

Regrouping up to 100 -  addition and subtraction.    

Read and solve story problems with regrouping up to 100 - addition and subtraction.    

Added web site - www.2learn.ca     Go to the Grade 2 file.  Once in the Grade 2 file, you can select the core subjects as well as Health and Art.   All are excellent resources that  support what your child is learning  in the classroom.  Enjoy!
