The main goal of the French as a Second Language is to help you understand, speak, read and write French. This ability to communicate in French not only has a benefit of helping you to communicate with French- speaking Canadians but with people from many other countries in the world where French is spoken. French as a Second Language is here to help you understand other cultures and how they are different from ours.  Finally, learning other languages helps us to better understand our own.
